Agreement between the London Midland and Scottish Railway Company. Dated 1938. Agreement discusses the leasing of land at No. 1 Jetty, Eastern Channel, Grangemouth Docks, at the cost of three pounds sixteen shillings and six pence, sterling, per annum. Typed document. Includes a plan titled, "Scottish Olis LTD, Grangemouth Plan showing site proposed kitchen for crews quarters at Jetty." Area coloured red = 188 sq.yds. or thereby. This is the plan referred to in the attached Agreement dated ... relating to 188 square yards of land at No. 1 Jetty, Eastern Channel, Grangemouth Docks. For and on behalf of Scottish Oils Limited. Scale 1/500. An attached letter dated 27th November 1964 discusses the increase in the rent for this ground used for kitchen and crew quarters going up to £33 per annum from 1965 onwards. The final piece of documentation is from the Bristish Transport Commission in relation to the Valuation and Rating (Scotland) Act, 1956 which serves as a notice of the amount of Owners' Rates payable in 1956-57 and of the effect of the Third Schedule to the Act and shows a decrease in rent for this land in the year 1957-58.
