Description
Subject folder relating to the agreement concerning the Broxburn Reading Room let by Broxburn Oil Company Limited and an applications for certain alterations being made to fulfil the requirements of the new Act with reference to Cinematograph machines. Includes; Correspondences and extracts from Minutes both typed and hand written, dated from 12 February 1886 until 6th July 1910 relating to the terms of the rent, gas used and the feu duty payable on the property to The Broxburn Oil Company. A condition of the let is that the company brass band is able to practice in the small hall one or two nights a week, free of charge, when the hall is not otherwise engaged.
