Handwritten Lease between Lord Cardross and The Broxburn Oil Company Ltd dated 10 & 22 July 1878 signed by Lord Cadross and by John Hurll and William Kennedy, Directors, The Broxburn Oil Company Ltd. There is a Plan attached headed "Ground South of Bathgate Railway Let Broxburn Oil Company Coloured Yellow". The plan is dated 1878 and is signed by Lord Cadross and by John Hurll and William Kennedy, Directors, The Broxburn Oil Company Ltd. The scale is given in chains. Typed Copy Feu Charter by the Trustees of the late Robert Bell of Cliftonhall in favour of The Holmes Oil Company Ltd (1900-1913). The Fue Charter has been signed by Thomas Bell, Arthur Dewar and Dalrymple Maitland, Trustees and dated 13, 16 and 29 June 1900. Plan 1 attached is headed "Plan of Ground Feued to The Holmes Oil Company Ltd. - For Workmen's Houses" and the area is coloured Pink. The scale is 1.25 inches = 150 feet.
