Description
Two steels chisels. used in shale mining, embossed YMOCo.
Two chisels that belonged to Thomas McGleave who worked as a faceman at No. 6 Roman Camps. He worked there from the 1930s until he was called for War on 1st December 1940 as he was a reservist. He was demobbed in 1941 due to the specialist and important nature of the work of a shale miner and returned to work at Roman Camps. Chisel has YMOCo' for Youngs Mineral Oil Company engraved on both sides..
