Black and white photograph showing group of West Calder Co-operative Society's bakery staff dating to circa 1930,
Mounted onto a cardboard frame. Photograph was taken in the West Calder Co-operative bakehouse and the donor's grandfather, Robert McNab Kay, is in the 3rd row, far right. Donor noted that the cockroaches would scatter in the morning when the lights were turned on in the bakehouse and that during the war her mother was never without bread or cakes regardless of rationing.
