Architectural drawing of worker's housing in Livingston Station, undated, circa 1910, on waxed linen "Proposed workman's houses at Livingston Station for Pumpherston Oil Company". Stamped "Scottish Oils Architectural dept."
Showing detailed front and rear elevations cross section, upper and lower floor plans illustrating dwellings with a room, a kitchen with two box beds, and a scullery with a WC for each house. The end house of each block has an attic room lit by a dormer window. The castellated wallhead was a feature of many Pumpherston Oil Company buildings.

The village of Livingston Station was constructed during the first decade of the 20th century by the Pumpherston Oil Company Ltd to house staff employed at Deans Oil Works and associated mines. Passed to Livingston Development Corporation when the Deans area was being integrated into the new town.
