The firm of Wilcocks & Piercy are listed in the 1880 Slater's trade directory, and Wilson's trade directory of 1885 as proprietors of the Royal Cambrian Oil & Grease Works, Hope Station. Mr. Wilcocks was associated with Hope Oil Works from 1871, or earlier.
