The firm of F. Lamb. is not included in the 1865 Coal Commission list, but appears in the 1868 Slater's trade directory as mineral oil manufacturers, with works at Cefn.
It seems likely that this was the same Frederick Lambe who had previously been a partner in the Wareham Oil & Candle Co. Ltd, and was described as a merchant based at 2 Cushion Court, Old Broad St., City of London.
