Welcome to the Scottish Shale Oil Industry Collection held by Almond Valley Heritage Trust. By entering keywords in the box on the left hand side you can perform a search of our online collection.
You can search using any keyword or name, for example:
If you are interested in a particular place, type in that place name, for example: Addiewell. The search results will show summary information of all collection items which mention, relate to, or have a connection with, Addiewell. Clicking on the object number will take you to detailed information about that item and allow you to zoom in on the image.
Our museum staff and volunteers are working hard to photograph and digitise the items in our collection which do not yet have images so please bear with us while we try and complete this time-consuming task.
